Spring?

Ok maybe I'm jumping the gun here...since it is still February...but I just feel like spring is in the air. Our weather has been so crazy that the plants think it's almost spring too...tiny buds are forming on the trees and tulips are trying to come up already. The days ARE getting longer, I can tell you that for sure, so I  know we're at least headed in the right direction.

Regardless of weather, by the time March rolls around I am done done done with anything winter-like for decor. It's time to think forward!

But since Valentines day is behind us, Easter is still WELL ahead of us, and St. Patrick's day isn't really one of those Holidays that people go nutso for decorations...what should we do with our homes in March?

I have to say, I'm not really a Holiday decorator anyway. I don't do cutesy displays for Valentines Day, or St. Patricks Day, or Easter really. I'm just not really a themey person. But I do like to change out my (fake) floral arrangements and spruce up the tables a bit with something new in the centerpiece area as a seasons change.

When a friend of mine asked me for advice on decorating during this "in between" time of year, all that I could think about was bright yellow, mossy green and some purple.
I'm thinking succulents and orchids, mosses and lemons, grasses and pussy willow branches, maybe some birds if they're not too gaudy.
Now I'm totally itching to get to the craft store and see what I can put together.

What do you think? How do you decorate during March?
